LeGaz was the first native we met in Madagascar. He became our guide during our stay and introduced us to many Malagasy musicians. He took us into the bush to Livingston, introduced us to bassist Patrick Tsimarofy and took us to places that are hidden from ordinary tourists. LeGaz’s real name is Razafintsiresy Olgatien and today he calls himself Legasy Raggamaffiny.

LeGaz also has its own band called ‘Gazman Connection’. We recorded their song ‘GAZ’ on a hill overlooking the sea and were quite enthusiastic about the guys and their rap.
