Andrew James is a gifted singer/songwriter from Cape Town, South Africa. We got his phone number from Lindiwe Suttle, who had recommended him as a guitarist. Andrew met us at a pier on the outskirts of Cape Town and we recorded two guitar pieces with him.

He gave us a piece that would later become “Travelling Man” through the lyrics and melody of Vicky Lukato. Then he inspired us with a reinterpretation of Ujjayinees song “Kalighata” and became an important part of our entire project. When Andrew later heard ‘Travelling Man’ as a finished piece, he said he had regained faith in the music and was quite proud of the result.
