Nitin Dubey is a musician, composer and producer based in Mumbai. He lived in Australia for a few years and during this time he met Lincoln Davis, with whom he even played in a band. When he heard about our project, he spontaneously invited us to Mumbai to make some recordings. We were just on our way back from Kashmir to our boat and stopped in Mumbai.
It was a great session. Nitin gave us a lot of ideas and contributed beats and piano takes to our existing tracks. The beat of ‘Kalighata‘ was also from him. Then he gave us the phone number of Ujjayinee Roy. A singer from Chennai whom he admired a lot. That was on the way to the boat for us and we later recorded her wonderful song ‘Kalighata’.
